Celebrated florist Jonathan Moseley will be promoting beautiful British seasonal flowers at this year’s Malvern Autumn Show in association with Westons Cider Mill held at the Three Counties Showground, Malvern, on September 29-30.

He’ll also be heading straight for this year’s new Bulb Market to take his pick of a wide variety of bulbs and tubers from British and Dutch growers to get his own garden looking its very best.

Perfect for planning Spring palettes, Petrichor Bulb Specialists, Garthwaite Nurseries and Hillyards of Oundle as well as Rose Cottage Plants will have hundreds of inspiring ideas to bring colour to the garden next year. Visitors will be able to get their hands on a range of bulbs and tubers from vibrant tulips and alliums to delicate daffodils and dahlias.

Turning his focus to autumn activities, Jonathan has rounded up his top suggestions of the best bulbs to plant in the Autumn to brighten up Spring gardens. Here’s his pick of 10 of his favourites.

  1. Parrot tulips - Amazing cut flowers with kaleidoscope of colours and flamboyant frilly edged petals
  2. Erythroniums - Perfect for growing in shade and they naturalise easily
  3. Narcissus poeticus - A stunningly simple narcissus with the most fabulous fragrance
  4. Allium schubertii - Dramatic and bold with its firework like blooms with seed heads that are equally as spectacular
  5. Frittilaria meleagris - The painted marbled heads of these charming flowers are beautifully romantic and make a fabulous cut flower
  6. Narcissus ‘Hawera’ - This sweetly scented miniature narcissus flowers late in the season and emits a wonderfully sweet succulent fragrance
  7. Fritillaria uva-vulpis - The pendulous heads of this waxy bloom give extremely long-lasting cut flowers and are incredibly easy to grow
  8. Tulipa tarda - As these tulip species burst their petals open, it’s like an explosion of sunshine, as they reveal their original and unadulterated charm
  9. Muscari latifolium - Each bloom shows-off the most lovely two-tone, from deepest navy blue/black to a wonderful hyacinth shade of blue. It naturalises extremely well in gravel and dry gardens
  10. Eranthis hyemalis - A must for any garden as the buttercup yellow blooms are often the first to flower during the depths of winter

Jonathan will be presenting his Autumn Floral Fiesta at the Malvern Autumn Show on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th September 2018. Book your tickets in advance to save money.
